Window Master uses the patented
Bi-Glass System to remove old single pane glass from old wood windows and replace it with new insulated glass.
This is accomplished using a router system that allows the wood window to be altered only in regard to the installation of the new double pane glass.
The work is completed from the outside where the old putty and muntins are removed and a shelf is created to accept the thicker double pane glass. The stiles, rails and interior muntins (grids) remain in place and an applied exterior wood stop and muntin replaces the old putty system.
These are manufactured to duplicate the look of the old window so that side by side new and old are virtually identical.
The process can be performed on any configuration and size window from large commercial windows to small residential windows. This will increase the energy efficiency of the glass by over 300% matching or exceeding the “R value” of new manufactured windows. This process also allows the future replacement of failed or broken glass without damaging the entire sash.
